3 Simple Tips Before You Make ANY Decision!

3 Simple Tips Before You Make ANY Decision!

Since last week, we began the journey of me leaving my home country and moving across the world. I have received many questions about how I made that BIG decision.

In this blog, I decided to share three simple tips that can help you with any decision you want to make in life.

Before you make any decision, be it as simple as ordering food at a restaurant or choosing who to spend your life with, consider these 3 key components. No matter how simple or important a decision you’re making, considering these 3 key components will help you make the best decision for you.

Ask yourself these questions before deciding on ANYTHING:

Let me share my story of how I applied this method to my decision of moving to the USA; that way you’ll see how it works in real life and use it for your own decisions.

First of all, you know how I came to that point where I wanted to move to the USA to create a life of my dreams. But if you are new to these blog and vlog series, here is a short reminder for you: I was feeling lost and not satisfied in my life and started searching how I could create my happiness. I took several self-improvement training sessions starting with NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Training and I found my true passions in life are being an inspirational speaker, owning a business, living in the USA.

You can read the full story of my transformation from being an Human Resources Specialist in Turkey to a Global Speaker and Entrepreneur in America here.

With that being said, I had a desire to change my life, and I was already in a position where I accepted whatever it takes to make that move to follow my heart.

I asked myself, “Is it worth my time, my life time, to be in the USA?” I was 25 years old and I thought it was the right time to try something that I dreamt about for a long time. I felt like I definitely had the time to learn something that will be super valuable for my personal and professional life. Therefore, my decision to move to the USA passed the first part.

Then I asked myself, 'Is it worth my energy to be in the USA and not spend that time in Turkey for my “guarantee” job?' I had thoughts about gaining more experience in my current job rather than changing my career immediately. It was hard in a way because I was still new to being a business woman. Even though I wanted to follow my dreams badly, the social frameworks that I had learnt were wandering around in my head. Changing your cultural beliefs has never been easy, but it is POSSIBLE. After a while, I came to a point where I was 100% energetically ready for my decision. I have to admit that receiving NLP sessions as well as coaching sessions helped me to clarify my path.

The most important one! MONEY! Money is the most crucial thing in our lives with global economic issues, right? So it is very crucial to make your decisions based on your budget? I asked, “Is it worth my money to spend all of my savings just to follow my dreams and to be in the USA?” When I was a Human Resources Specialist in an international company in Bursa, Turkey, I saved almost all of my salaries for 3 years. I was lucky to be able to save a huge amount of my money because I was living with my parents. However, I have to tell you that it was not easy to spend my first earned money into something that I didn’t know what the outcome was going to be. Think about your first salary or salaries. Was it easy to spend, or were you thinking twice when you bought something? No, right. But I did spend, and it actually gave me more confidence to make my own decision and say no to the people who were not supporting me. I felt powerful to have the savings to make my dreams come true. At least it was a good amount to start building my dreams. So the answer to the last thing was YES it was worth my money!

enlightenedBONUS TIP: How can you make it emotionally easy for you to not regret your decision?

Obviously, you never know or predict the outcome of any decision. But just say these sentences to yourself, and you'll feel way better

Whenever I make decisions, meaning whenever I have the time, energy, and money for whatever I want, I say this to myself: 'I have the time, I have the energy and desire to do this, and plus, I have the money.”

Here is a powerful statement I made to myself which I still use when I need it: 'I accept whatever comes out of this decision, the journey I am about to get in. I know that God has a better plan for me even when things don’t go the way I dreamt. I am ready for the challenges, I am ready for miracles. I want this, and I own my decision to the end.
